Built To Last

Made From "Kiln-Dried" Birch Timber

Soft or moist wood can bend and break easily, while knotted wood is prone to cracks. Any regular dried wood will not do. For a high quality frame you need klin-dried timber.

Reinforced Joints

All load-bearing joints are glued, dowelled, and screwed.

Strengthened Corners

Solid wood corner blocks for all corners provides superior stability and long lasting quality.

Hand Installed Springs

Hand installed spring system for unsurpassed comfort and longevity. We use quality re-enforced springs that retain their shape for years of service.

Goose Down Feather or Comfy Fibre

The ultimate in comfort. Part goose down (or our exclusive low maintenance "Comfy Fibre") and part foam ensures optimum longevity and comfort. We can do a number of different seat fillings.

High-Density Foam

Long life high density foam to avoid a tired out of shape sofa for years to come.

Solid Wood

No plywood or chip-wood. We only use the best quality solid birch to build the frame.

Fully Handmade

Upholstered, tufted, buttoned and tailored by hand. Every part of our sofas are made by time served master craftsmen and women. No automated robots, no mass produced soulless furniture.

Our Fabrics

Rub Test: All our fabrics have been specially sourced based on quality, feel and longevity. All velvet fabrics have passed a "100 thousand" rubdown test, while all the cotton and linen mix are "50 thousand". These may vary slightly as we update our fabrics regularly.

Pet & Child Friendly: All our velvet range are pet and child friendly. You can easily tackle stains with some warm water and soap. The covers can be machine washed at 30c.

Our Leathers

We only use the finest genuine leather for our leather sofas. No faux, PU or bonded leather. You can choose from a range of different colours and textures. If you have certain requirements, we can source the leather through our network of professional tanneries.

Hand Antiqued Leather

The attractiveness of a classic chesterfield comes from its historic charm and aristocratic elegance. Our range of upholstery in Antiqued leather is no exception. The hide is dyed and pre-aged for a number of months. It is only sent to the workshop once the leather craftsman is satisfied with the results. The hide will then go through the antiquing process, which is achieved by gently rubbing away the top coat and add definition to patterns. Finally a coat of sealant is applied, providing a mellow luster finish and long lasting protection. This process gives our Chesterfield collection the classic character and warmth that is synonymous with this timeless piece of furniture.
